Wrangler NW Power Products alternators are custom built to deliver higher output at idle than other alternators. They feature:

• Stator Windings that are hand wound, heavy gauge wire, with 200°C slot insulation
• Precision balanced and aligned rotor
• Copper brushes with heavy gauge wire leads
• Over-sized bearings to withstand extreme belt loads
• 50-amp button diodes on aluminum heat sinks to enhance cooling efficiency
• Grade-8 socket head bolts with Nordlock hi-torque lock-washers for mechanical stability

 Almost all Wrangler NW Power Products high-output alternators are a direct bolt-for-bolt replacement for OEM alternators. Those that aren’t are designed for custom installations. Some comne with our brackets. However, you may want to create your own custom brackets.

And you have your choice of an internal or external regulator. As a matter-of-fact, we have four POWER-BOSS external voltage regulator options for you that allow you to service the regulator without removing the alternator and perform diagnostics by monitoring the LEDs. They even have soft-start capability and a secondary main battery sensing circuit to restrict overcharging. We also sell the Hehr Power regulator with the Wrangler NW Power Products wiring harness.
